2010
Should I say 2009 ended bad and the effects were still showing in 2010? Probably better to see it like this. 😉 I am going to Dallas soon but when I booked the flight back in october I couldn’t possibly know that some idiot would try to blow up a plane close to Detroit at Christmas so that security would be tightened everywhere… So last week I changed my bookings in order to have more time in Frankfurt for security checks but when I wanted to pay the fee for that change I was told that this was not possible as it was over the limit of my credit card. ‚What?????‚ I knew that this was not possible as I rarely use my credit cards. So I checked the account and found that someone had stolen the data and had booked flights on a bolivian airline (at least Dad went business class as there are no 2000 USD-flights in economy… :D). The other tickets were cheaper… I have no clue where they have stolen my data and whether they really bought flight tickets with my card. THAT would have been stupid since when flying out of the US (bookings had been done in Miami, Florida) they should have the passport-data of the persons who flew with those tickets…
Anyway… got a letter this morning that my credit card company will converse the bookings in the next days and since they obviously have stopped the automatic creation of the account till this is done there will be no financial damage for me. The emotional damage is there though. Hope I can catch up on some of the sleep I lost in the last nights…
