Riviera del Brenta and Villa Pisani
Before I have to document my next trip I should finish the one from May…. 😀 I had plans to do several excursions to explore the area some more. In the first week I booked a boat tour on the Brenta canal and a visit to Villa Pisani – one of the view old venetian villas that can be visited. We had wonderful weather that day and I met two very nice german ladies with whom I had a lot of fun during that trip. I was thrilled to do this. Along the canal we saw lots of old venetian villas but a lot of them are in a state of decay. Takes a lot of money to maintain them I guess. We went till Dolo and left the Burchiello-boat there. Dolo has a typical venetian style church tower.
Villa Pisani was wonderful. The tour description had talked about a tour inside the villa which was something I didn’t want to do. But it was not done anyway. I didn’t join the guided tour in the park because I wanted to do my own photography tour. There were a lot of cool photo spots in that park so I was really, really happy with all the pics I could take. The tour guide had told us to come back to the bus on time and that we would leave 5 minutes late. Well, the only ones who were on the bus on time were my new friends and 1. 😀 The tour guide came back way after leaving time as well.
I am really glad I did this tour because apart from the nice company it was a wonderful tour – and in the end it was the only one I could do because all the others were cancelled at the last minute or not even planned in the first place. I was not happy about that because I really wanted to go to Chioggia but taking the train was not possible for me and paying a taxi would have cost way more than I wanted to pay…. therefore I am grateful that at least I could go to Riviera del Brenta and Villa Pisani.
