Day 4 of diving Lembeh… found some cool stuff
Today I was better with my camera. And we found some real unusual stuff too. I am happier with my pics today than I way yesterday. But then we didn’t have hairy shrimp today. 😉 But again beautiful frogfish. While there are always frogfish around I find the colours are much more beautiful these days. So far I have seen one new colouring every day…
When we went up to get back on the boat after the second dive, Paulus pointed at something and I saw a jellyfish. For a moment I thought about swimming over and taking pics but then I saw the tentacles and decided against it. The form of the jellyfish was a bit unusual too so when we got out of the water I asked Paulus if that was a box-jellyfish and he confirmed that. I am soooo not going anywhere near a box-jellyfish….
A little crab, eating…
These fish are usually IN feather stars. But this one was outside which made it a lot easier to take pics. They are usually hiding
I think that this is a little kauri-shell. But a beautiful one…
It’s not what it looks like… 😉 Actually this is fighting.
I call this the ‚Paulus‘-shrimp because the book gave us only the latin name and I can’t remember that… 🙂 It’s beautiful and unusual.
Ambon scorpionfish. It was eating but they catch their prey so fast that it is impossible to get that on a pic…An
And another beauty….
Flamboyant cuttlefish. This one was about 4 cm. These little guys are deadly poisonous…
You see that Halloween gets closer…. 😉
Hairy frogfish
A couple of nice nudis that I hadn’t seen before….
Idiomysis… they look like flies in this pic.
And finally a good pic of a harlekin (?) ghostpipe-fish. This one was not really hiding so my camera was able to focus on it.
