Back from Thailand

Yes, I know… haven’t been very busy writing blog entries. But I guess I am excused since I was on vacation and rather busy with a lot of other things. 😉

Slept through most of the first 4 days of my vacation as I was not really and completely healthy. Wasn’t really surprised as the weeks before had been way too busy with too many business trips. Once in Phuket I started to feel better soon since diving is relaxing as well. Was under water most of the time but did all the excursions that I had planned as well: Kho Phi Phi, James Bond Island in Phang Nga, Khao Sok National Park and another 2 days dive trip to the Similan Islands. Further to that I was lucky enough to be in Thailand for ‚Loy Kratong‘ which is the festival of lights. So in the evening we went to the beach, lit our Loy Kratongs (flower arrangements containing candles and sandlewood incense sticks) and put them into the water. After that we bought silk paper balloons, lit those as well and let them fly. It was not THAT spectacular but we loved it. Would probably have been much nicer though if it hadn’t rained so much that evening.

So – now I am back home and will be here for 2,5 weeks in a row before I have to get back on a plane. But I hope that with two more trips my travels will be done for 2008. 🙂
