Iceland 26 day 4
The next morning we continued our way towards Vik. First stop was to take pics of a DC3 wreck that was along the road to our accomodation. It was not the one that is on a beach where you have to walk a loooooong way to reach it. 😉 It looks a bit different because part of it is painted in red and that is how it is possible to distinguish them. This one has been brought to this place. We drove by Seljalandsfoss again. Too many people there… We took a break at Faxi Bakery. Another one that I loved. It is always so difficult to decide between calorie bomb and another. 😀 We stopped close to Skogafoss. Another waterfall landmark. But we stayed further away. Weather was not really nice that day. Lots of rain. I was pissed off when I saw the Skogar-sign. Why does everybody think that they should put adhesives on things? At Jokulsarlon lagoon I saw a couple doing that. The way they looked at me they probably knew that I was not happy with what they were doing. I should have told them…
We drove over the Vik to spend some time at the shopping mall. It is the number 1 tourist spot in the area. But it was raining so hard that there was not a lot else we could do. Check-In time at accomodations is usually in the afternoon around 3 PM so we had to be somewhere until it was time to go there. After we had another small meal at a cafe in the mall we drove over to the Dyrholaey lagoon – which was frozen as well. It is a nice area and it had stopped raining so we were able to take some pics. After that we went to get into our cabins and had nice ones again.
