Niue – Departure

And then the two weeks on Niue were over and we had to leave. The breakfast area was decorated for the weeking. It is interesting that you have to go the airport in the mornings and check in your luggage while the plane leaves in the afternoon. That is what we did. We went to Alofi again, there is a market that we wanted to check out. But it was not open that day. One of the group bought postcards to send home so we started a competition which one would be the fastest. My niece got hers 2.5 weeks later. Looks like the post is going out with the friday flight. 😉 Had an early lunch at the best burger/sandwich cafe on Niue. I was stuffed since it was not that much later after breakfast. 😀 We waited for a few hours in the departure hall because we had nothing else to do…

Three hours flight again… leaving on Friday and arriving Saturday. 😉 Customs was fast again as well even though there had been about 6 flights arriving at the same time. The rest of the group stayed in a hotel at the airport while I went back to my prior hotel as I had planned another week in Auckland. 🙂 The hotel greeted me with cake in my room. 😉
