Iceland 26 – day 14

So that was the last day of our trip together. I went to stay for a few more days in Reykjavik while my friend was flying home the next day. Of course went to the bakeri and the supermarket in Selfoss again first. Then we started our way back. We stopped in Hveragerdi at the red chair and then continued along that road to the thermal area that looks a bit like Landmannalaugur – the icelandic highland I have yet to see.
Then we went over the pass and we had snow flying over the street again. I was starting to get a bit melancholic seeing that. We had seen so much in the past 14 days. Then we arrived in Reykjavik, I got my ‚deluxe room‘ (it was on offer on booking.com) and I was alone. My hotel was opposite the Harpa and with the sun shining I went for a walk to the city. But I was not very happy with the view. I would have preferred to have a view to the ocean. But there was no availabililty and I didn’t want to move again the next day. That is what I told myself. 😀 I could see Halgrimskirkja after all.
