Auckland 1

I walked around a bit that day but didn’t want to overdo it. I had booked a room with a view so I had a phantastic view to the Sky Tower. When I came back from Niue I used to open the curtains around 5 AM to have phantastic sunrises over the skyline.

The immediate area around the hotel was not really very compelling. Issue is that Auckland has been built on 51 volcanoes so it is up and down hills all the time and that I not something I can handle very well. I am used to climb stairs but long steep streets are not good for my legs and I noticed that two days later. I was looking for a supermarket and noticed that the small shops were all asian. Got my drinks though and that was OK. Walked around the Sky Tower as well and then back to the hotel because I was tired after that very long flight.
