Strasbourg – 5

The next morning at breakfast we decided to go to the European Parliament since the weather forecast wasn’t too good. We bought a 24 hour tram ticket for 3 persons (it was convenient and cheaper than buy individual tickets) and went there. By the time we arrived there it was raining. Since there was not political activities there we got our visitor passes and went inside. We took our VIP-pics in front of all the flags from EU-countries (didn’t matter that one of us is swiss 😀 😉 ) and then we went into the big plenary hall. It was a bit impressive but empty. 😉 From there we went to a visitors cafe for a coffee while it was raining hard outside. After that we had some interactive stuff we played around with. And then we finally left again and went back to the hotel. Later we met again to go on a guided boat tour. We had to take the tram again because the boats left near the cathedral. Once we had our tickets for a tour two hours later we went for dinner and it was tarte flambee again. After that we went on the a bit crowded boat and went along the rivers around Strasbourg. But to be honest – I wasn’t too impressed. I know that we did this tour mostly because I can’t walk that much and I am glad we did it. But I wouldn’t take this tour again. Once we got back the guys wanted to walk back to the hotel while I took the tram. But they arrived at the hotel before me and I was the number one step-wise that day. Looks like plan B is not always the best. 😉
The next morning we met again for breakfast, chatted some more and then I took the train home again. It was a really relaxed trip and we decided to do it again next year. There will be more of us next year and I am already looking forward to it! 🙂
