And then we were already on our last workshop day. On the sunrise-shooting most of us slept in instead. I didn’t want to go because when it is still a bit dark I don’t want to climb over rocks yet. Around lunch time we left to finally go to Fanal – the forrest of the fairies. Which in reality are bay trees. Since they are above the cloud-level often fog/clouds come in and you get some kind of mystic atmosphere. I liked the fog as well because it hid all the bus loads of people that were standing or walking through our photos. 😉 We spent two or three hours there and it was really fascinating. In some trees I can actually see the dancing fairy. 😉
On the way back we saw the sea stacks that we had photographed a few days earlier and from up on the hill it looks way different than from sea level. 😀 We stopped at Ponta del Sol for dinner again. We had planned to take pics on the bridge next to the yellow restaurant but it was closed that day due to too much wind. Food was really good again. After sunset we went back to Funchal and had a nightcap at our VW-bar again because it was the last evening with the group.
