Norway 2024 Skjervoy 4

So I found a pic of my birthday cake on my mobile. And two pics from Skjervoy (church and Main Street). Delivering them now. 😉
Let’s continue. The day after my birthday I would have liked to go out with the small boat again but they were fully booked. So instead I checked out my drone and found that I had to change the rotors. Other than that it was not damaged and I was able to send it up in the sky to see the sun. One of the last days she showed her face on the horizon before she went into winter sleep. 😉 Luckily it was much better weather that day and not too windy to send the drone up there.
When my friend came back from her whale watching we decided to go towards Storslett/Sorkjosen. I had been in Sorkjosen several times before and had my ’secret place‘ to take northern lights pics. So we drove over to Storslett first as they have a shopping center (with 3 or 4 shops 😉 ). Then we started our way back and stopped at the Pa Taket Kafe in Sorkjosen to eat. I had been there before and knew that they have good food. It was nice to be back there. When we had finished over to the harbor and were surprised when we saw that there was steam over the water. It was very cold so obviously the water was too warm that it started to steam. We drove over to my secret aurora place but it is no longer as dark as it was before (last time I was there was six years ago I believe). They have hung up some lamps and additional light came from someone who close by got a boat out of the water. Having pics of slight northern lights with fog on the water is special but looks a bit weird… 😉
We didn’t stay very long as the northern lights were not strong and we drove back to Skjervoy. There it was too cloudy for northern lights so we started to pack because we were leaving the next morning and we wanted to leave early to drive in daylight. Pics are not really in a chronological order.
