Norway 2024 Finnesnes 2

The next morning we left early again because we knew that we didn’t have that much of daylight. The direction was to Hamn and then Gryllefjord. Unfortunately the weather had not improved. Some snow, a lot of ice on the streets… and what I learned is that even if there are public toiletts in Senja they are closed in the winter. That was not the experience I had during the stay on the Lofoten last year. So we finally decided to stop at the hotel Hamn i Senja that I had taken into consideration for my 60th birthday before I fell sick and it had been an option for this trip as well. And I absolutely LOVED it. Apart from the fact that the hot chocolate we had was really good it was a very homely and cozy place. I would definitely stay there.
From there we continued to Gryllefjord where the ferry over to Andenes leaves (not in winter though). Maybe one day… 😉 And Gryllefjord had some fun stuff to see as well. Like Snowwhite with the 7 dwarfs. 😉
After that we went back to Finnsnes and arrived when it was nearly dark again. We stopped at the supermarket. The rest of the day we didn’t do much as there was no chance of northern lights so quiet evening…
