Iceland/Greenland – finish
I spent the next two days in Reykjavik and couldn’t believe my eyes on the first day that it was blue skies and the SUN was shining. 😀 That was very unusual for Iceland. The second day I left the hotel and it was a bit of sun as well but as soon as I got to the Sun Voyager… the first shower. I didn’t want to go back to the hotel though as my plans had been to go shopping the first day (which is what I did) and visit my favorite pig that is always dressed differently. And the second day go to a photo session at the Harpa and then walk back to the hotel. On the last evening I wanted to go back to the restaurant where I had been with my canadian friends on the first night but it was closed on sundays. So I went to an italian restaurant and had the most expensive pizza ever. 😀 Spaghetti Carbonara would have cost the same so I had the pizza. Last night in Reykjavik, the next morning I went to the airport and was rather early. Flight to Copenhagen was late but I made the connection to Düsseldorf and then I was already home again… while you are travelling time passes even faster than usual…
