Greenland 2024 – 2

The next morning the others went diving while I stayed behind in the Ice camp because I wanted to fly my drone. There is a little hill next to the camp from where you have a nice view over the fjord and I went up there without any accident (I used nordic walking sticks for stabilisation). 🙂 Proud of myself. Once up there I flew my drone. While I kept checking that there were no polar bears around…. 😉
Later in the day I went out with the others with the zodiac and I was more than happy as Fabienne showed me the sea butterflies. These are wonderful creatures. Hadn’t known they existed until I first went to Greenland 5 years ago and didn’t think I would ever see them if I don’t dive. But I did. They were sooooooo cute. And close to the surface. Just taking pics was impossible because the camera didn’t recognize them. So I finally started to get the pics I had come for to Greenland again. Icebergs from above. Although you don’t realize how big they are if the zodiacs are not on the pic to have a comparison. Still – seeing the icebergs from above is much more impressing than seeing them at eye level… 🙂 In the evening – nothing special to talk about. I forgot about the arctic foxes that we had in the camp. The others illuminated them the evening before but I was busy taking pics of lady aurora. There are 3 or 4 of them close to the camp. I just have pics of them that I had taken with my mobile.
