Another day whales and northern lights

Didn’t do a lot the day in between my orca tours. Too tired so I just stayed mostly at the hotel and went for a pizza later at Pastafabrikken. Sleep early and then up early again. When I went on the ferry there was a guy who had been on it in Svolvaer. We had phantastic sunlight. But it was COLD… And it wasn’t as interesting as two days before. We were further away from the orcas and even if it was clear that they were hunting (probably a bait ball) there were people in the water and I have lots of pics of hunting orcas with heads on the pics as well. Not what I want. But the sky had phantastic colors.
In the evening we drove to a different place as Marianne wanted to show me somewhere I hadn’t been yet. We went to a beach. But it was COLD. In addition to my usual layers that evening I put on a snow suit from Marianne. But -10° Celsius is COLD (I think it felt colder than that). We had a fire on the beach but I noticed that I couldn’t touch my lense because it was way too cold. It was the first time during my winter trips that my equipment started to freeze. There were ice-flowers on my camera and the camera backpack. We had a colorful fire though as Marianne and Maria had brought some magic. 😉
