Sortland part 2

I was in contact with the tour guide and he sent me a message that he wanted to go on Aurora tour to take pics for social media and I could go with paying only for one person (win-win I think 😉 ) so of course I was in. Walked around a bit again during the day. While it was already dark I could see northern lights from my room which was – wrong direction… ooops. So I took my cam and went out to take some pics but was a bit late and totally unaware that I had seen one of the strongest aurora of the year 2023. Later I was picked up at my hotel and we drove around Vesteralen to find cloudless skies for aurora-pics. While unfortunately the clouds kept following us I have to say that I have to say that I have never seen an aurora that red before. So of course I was thrilled even if we didn’t find the cloudless sky we had dreamed of. Life is never a wish-concert… you have to take what you get. That is what I did. I talked to the guy again because I really wanted to see more of Vesteralen than just Sortland but finally he was not able to free his time for that. Unfortunately.
