September trip Norway 1

Soooooo…. for a change I flew to Norway yesterday. 😉 😀 Till Oslo everything was as usual. Then it changed a bit. For the first time I didn’t have to go get my suitcase and check it in again. Much less stressfull especially when you are at a big airport and are still not able to walk too much. So I had a smooth trip and finally landed in Bodo. Bodo had been on my wishlist for a while and when it was a stop on the way to the Lofoten and I had to fly earlier than my workshop starts due to flight times I decided to make a stop in Bodo first, explore the city and fly to Svolvaer the day the rest of the group arrives as well. Last evening I just went on a first short walk and then it started to rain. Therefore I didn’t need to stay awake to check for northern lights. 😉
This morning I had another phantastic breakfast. My hotel had a big buffet and I know why I like this chain. Since weather forecast predicted rain for the afternoon I immediately left after breakfast for a walk around town. You will find some impressions below. I think on the other side of the fjord there is some WWII-ruins. There are canons there and I know that in Norway there are a lot of WWII memory sites. I used a lense that made it appear much closer to where I was (on the other side of the fjord 😀 ). Tonight I think I will go to an italian restaurant next door. Have to eat…. 😀 And then will check if there is a chance to see northern lights.
