Luxembourg Day 4 and trip home

Day 4 was supposed to be rainy again but when I woke up it was rather sunny so I decided to head out to the Grund to do some more geocaching. When I went towards the bridge I noticed two persons sit on the pedestrian part of the bridge where I hadn’t found the geocache two days before. So I thought that it wouldn’t make sense to go there to have another look. When I neared the bridge I saw that the way down to the pedestrian part was closed off by police. Since I wanted to go down I walked on to find the path down but everything was closed. So I crossed the bridge to go down on the other side but I noticed that down there was police as well. When I reached the other side I asked and was told that it was not possible to go down at all. So I went back to where I had come from. Close to the gold statue a guy with a camera came running (his pace didn’t really make him appear to be a tourist) and he went to take pics. But a policewoman came running and forbade him to take pics. The guy was pissed off and I heard him say ‚Do I look like I am from the press?‘ He might not have looked like it but he certainly had some strange behaviour for the tourist he pretended to be. The policewoman told him that they had a ’situation‘ going on and he could take pics later. I saw more people on the pedestrian bridge and police and an ambulance down in the Grund. Back at the hotel at recption the woman told me that last week they had succeeded in keeping someone from jumping off the bridge. I think that this was what was going on and that the two people sitting where the cache was was the person who wanted to jump and someone who was trying to prevent that. Don’t think anyone had already jumped.
So with my plans being messed up somehow my energy to explore was gone. So I did a last quick walk around and went back to the hotel to pack.

After lunch time I got in the taxi to take the train back home. Weather was good and along the Mosel it was really nice to check the landscape. Took some pics along the way from the train…
