On the roof of the Cologne cathedral
I have to take a quick break from my trip to Norway… my sister had asked me a few weeks ago if I wanted to join a tour to the roof of the Cologne cathedral. Since I knew that the christmas market was open and I wanted to take some more pics I wanted. The tour was totally different from the one I took two years ago and we were much more outside this time. We basically went around the Cologne cathedral once – about half way up to the towers. With the christmas markets we had amazing views. At the end we went up the ‚Vierungstower‘ – a small tower at the back of the cathedral. I knew that from up there we would have stunning views again and I was not disappointed. It was an absolutely stunning tour. The guide usually is on the swiss guard of the cathedral and he told us some very interesting things. And he was entertaining too. I enjoyed the tour very much and we hadn’t realized that we had been up there for two hours… Here are some pics…
