Philippines it is….

Now that Santa will bring me the underwater housing for my cam I can decide what to do. I would really have liked to see Sulawesi but there are a lot of BUTS for Indonesia. The airlines are all on the ‚black list‘ of dangerous airlines, Sulawesi is Malaria prone (and moscitos LOVE me), there are earthquakes, tsunamis, volcano eruptions, sunken ferries and a lot of other news on the negative side. This is what kept me so far from booking that trip. Since my friends Kerstin and Günther (Günni is my favourite dive-buddy) are going to the Philippines in april and I have read a lot of good things about diving on the Philippines I looked into it thsi weekend and found that it offers diving similar to Sulawesi (they are neighbouring countries anyway – so no wonder at all) but without the negative issues Indonesia has. Called my travel agency this morning and my mind is finally made up. It will most probably be Dumaguete, Bohol and 2 or 3 days in Manila…
